Puerto Lumbreras has hosted the 23rd edition of the "Popular Race of La Estación", which is celebrated on the occasion of the feasts in honor of the Purísima of the lumbrerense hamlet of La Estación-Esparragal.

Thus, more than 350 athletes from inside and outside the Region of Murcia have come together at this sporting event organized by the Esparragal Sports Association, in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.

In this sense, the participant categories have been between 0 and 6 years male and female (100 meters);

Pre benjamines male and female (500 meters);

Benjamines and female fry (1,000 meters);

Female infant and young male (1,500 meters);

Female cadet and male fry (2,000 meters);

Infant and male cadet (3,000 meters);

Juvenile, junior, senior, promises and female veterans (3,000 meters);

Male veterans (5,000 meters);

Juvenile, junior, senior, male promises (5,000 meters).

For the first time, two teams of the Joëlettecon chair have participated in this test, which makes it possible for people with reduced mobility to carry out this test.

The top three finishers in each category have won a trophy.

In addition, a Christmas basket and two hams have been raffled among all participants.
