Defibrillators are installed in the Municipal Sports Center of Puerto Lumbreras, Municipal Sports Center, Summer Pools, Sports Pavilion of San Javier, Sports Center La Estación-Esparragal and Municipal Soccer Field.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, and the president of the Federation of Soccer of the Region of Murcia (FFRM), José Miguel Monje, have signed this morning a collaboration agreement for the donation of defibrillators to municipal sports facilities both Of the urban helmet and of the hamlet of La Estación-Esparragal.
Specifically, the purpose of this initiative is to provide a rapid response to possible cardiovascular accidents, until the arrival of specialized health services, in the various sports centers and in the Municipal Football Field.
The Football Federation of the Region of Murcia has delivered this morning the equipment and defibrillator booths for installation at the Municipal Sports Center of Puerto Lumbreras, Municipal Sports Center, Summer Pools, Sports Hall of the San Javier, Center Deportivo The Esparragal Station and Municipal Soccer Field.
For its part, the City of Puerto Lumbreras is committed to the installation of donated equipment in the places indicated, as well as to ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment once installed in centers and pavilions.
The mayor of Puerto Lumbreras explained that "through this agreement all our municipal sports centers have a user-friendly tool that saves lives in case of cardiorespiratory arrest."
In addition, Tunisia has added that "because of the large number of people who perform sports in these facilities, we have considered it very convenient to equip the centers with defibrillators."
Puerto Lumbreras is a sports municipality.
Currently, about one thousand people use the municipal sports facilities to practice soccer, swimming, basketball, tennis, paddle, among other sports.
In addition, the facilities of the pavilions are also used by the annexed schools to realize extracurricular activities.
