An appeal is made to all lumbrerenses aged between 18 and 65 years of all blood groups and especially to citizens of groups A negative and 0 negative.
This call responds to an urgent appeal by the Regional Hemodynamic Center, due to the need to increase reserves of blood components in hospitals.
The Regional Hemodonation Center, in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, has convened a day of donation of blood for next February 24 from 09:30 to 14:30.
The blood collection will take place in the hall of the Town Hall of Puerto Lumbreras.
This call responds to an urgent appeal by the Regional Hemodynamic Center, due to the need to increase reserves of blood components in the hospitals of the Health Service Murciano.
Specifically, a call is made to all lumbrerenses between 18 and 65 years of all blood groups, and especially to citizens of groups A negative and 0 negative.
Councilor for Health, Andrés López, stressed that "it is necessary the maximum citizen participation in the extraction, since every day dozens of patients in our hospitals save their life or recover their health thanks to the solidarity gesture of the donors."
For the call, the City of Puerto Lumbreras is using different broadcast channels such as poster installation, WhatsApp broadcast lists, telephone calls and mass mailing, among others.
Finally, it should be noted that people who are interested in collaborating in blood collection should meet a number of requirements before the donation such as drinking plenty of fluids, not being fasting or not having eaten a copious meal.
After donating it is advisable to drink liquids, eat moderately and not drink alcohol or smoke within two hours of donation.
