The Municipal Nursery Network of Puerto Lumbreras is open during the Easter holidays so that parents can reconcile work and family life.
The Councilor for Equal Opportunities and Children, Sonia López, explained that "we provide facilities to the families of Puerto Lumbreras offering public daycare places with a wide schedule during school holidays."
Specifically, the opening hours during the Easter holidays are from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Ana María Sánchez nursery school;
From 07.30 to 16.30 hours at Juan López children's school;
From 07.30 to 15.30 hours in the Buenaventura Romera kindergarten;
And from 07.00 to 16.30 hours in the Children's School of La Estación-Esparragal.
Likewise, a special program of activities is planned for these days.
Thus, the minors perform craft workshops, art therapy, cinephorum, storytelling, psychomotricity and sensory workshops.
In this sense, Sonia López, stressed that "it is important that children receive complementary care based on a series of artistic and expressive stimuli with which they can express emotions, feelings and thoughts. Care and stimulation continues to provide a warm and affective environment. "
The Municipal Nursery Network offers dining service, school support classes, ample play areas and rest.
All day care centers in the municipality have a pick-up service and are connected to a public school.
In the same way, the Network offers ample didactic resources for children from 0 to 12 years.
In addition, as a new feature this month, English classes for children between 1 and 12 years of age have been started by a qualified teacher with teaching experience.
The methodology is based on play, surprise and repetition.
Varied activities such as riddles, songs and vocabulary games are used to learn the new language so that children are curious and acquire more knowledge.
