The sports competition has been organized by the Orbitalia CA Nogalte and the AD Esparragal, in collaboration with the City council of Puerto Lumbreras.
Víctor Ruiz Orden and Solange Andreia Pereira Da Ponte have been the male and female winners respectively of the IX Spanish Championship Milla en Ruta in Puerto Lumbreras.
Puerto Lumbreras hosted yesterday the IX Championship of Absolute Spain and Veteran of the specialty, within the framework of the IX Popular Urban Mile "City of Puerto Lumbreras".
The municipality hosted one of the most important national appointments of the season with the mile en route from 17:30 hours, counting on a representation of the greatest specialists of the national and even international mediofondo.
On the other hand, at 4:00 p.m., tests began on the IX Urban Mile "City of Puerto Lumbreras", all under the organization of Orbitalia CA Nogalte and AD Esparragal, in collaboration with the City Council of Puerto Lumbreras.
It should be noted that the competition has had the participation of almost 300 athletes.
Participating categories have been petate, prebenjamin, cadet, youth, junior, pledge and veterans.
Qualified athletes, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, receive from the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation the gold, silver and bronze medal, respectively.

Lastly, the Mayoress, Mª Ángeles Tunisia, stressed that "this is a great sporting event that was already held in our town in 2014 and this year has been a success. Citizens enjoyed an entertaining evening in the city. That were present some of the greatest specialists of this sport modality of our country ".
