The numerous families of Puerto Lumbreras will have at their disposal a new service that will allow them to make arrangements and obtain the title of large family in the municipality, shortening waiting times.
The Councilor for Citizen Assistance, Raquel Rodríguez, explained that "nowadays, from the City Council we act as mediators between the Autonomous Community and the large families who apply for the title. However, with the implementation of this new service we will carry out the processing Directly, considerably reducing waiting time and making citizens more comfortable. "
In this sense, families will soon be able to go to the municipal offices of Social Services from 08.00 to 15.00 hours, to collect the application and submit the necessary documentation to request the title of large family.
Likewise, the Council of Family and Equal Opportunities of the Autonomous Community also allows the processing of application through the internet with electronic ID or digital certificate.
The holders and beneficiaries of large family titles can access the benefits established in the current legislation on the protection of large families, as well as all those regulated by the Autonomous Administration, Local or Private Entities.
It should be noted that recently Puerto Lumbreras signed an agreement with the Regional Association of Numerous Families of the Region of Murcia (FANUMUR), which allows families with the title of numerous can enjoy advantages in different local businesses.

Persons requesting the title of large family must be: a) families formed by one or two ascendants, with three or more children, whether common or not;
B) families formed by one or two ascendants, with two children, common or not, provided that at least one of them is disabled or incapacitated to work;
C) the separated or divorced father or mother, with three or more children, whether or not they are common, even if they are in different family units, provided that they are under their economic dependence;
D) families consisting of two ascendants and two children, provided that both ascendants are disabled or at least one of them has a disability equal to or greater than 65%;
E) families in which there are two or more orphan brothers and sisters of father and mother, under guardianship, custody or foster care, but not at the expense of the guardian, keeper or host.
