Yesterday, the festivities in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, which during the last few days have been held in the town of Góñar, have ended successfully.
The hamlet dressed up to celebrate its patron saint festivities, which each year attend a greater number of neighbors.
Thus, a Mass was celebrated yesterday and procession in honor to the Virgin of the Carmen, presided by the new queen of Góñar 2017, Noelia Garci'a, and his bridesmaids.
About 250 people attended the religious events, among which were numerous members of the Government team.
Then the holidays followed with children's entertainment and popular games for the little ones.
At night, a raffle took place between the attendees and the musical performance of the group "Iguana".
Finally, as usual, the final brooch to the holidays was put the fireworks castle, which delighted the spectators with a game of colors and shapes.
It should be noted that the parties also had various musical performances, sports activities and days of coexistence as the traditional tasting of migas.
As a peculiarity of these festivals, it should be noted that being in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, they move every year until mid-August, being their big day on the 15th.
It is a tradition maintained for decades, since in the past the great majority of the families of the hamlet were dedicated to agriculture and livestock work and left to work outside the town during the month of July.
