Swimming lessons and water activities will begin on September 18.
The Puerto Lumbreras Sports Center will open its doors again next September 4, after the summer months.
On the same day, the enrollment period for swimming activities and courses in the indoor swimming pool will start.
The registration period for the indoor pool is open on September 4 from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The use of the weight room will begin with the inscriptions in the same time slot.
In this sense, the Department of Physical Activity and Sports of the City of Puerto Lumbreras is designing a new program of activities aimed at all audiences, which will include swimming courses for all ages.
Courses will begin on Monday, September 18, as well as free swimming and other water activities.
In this way, adult swimming lessons and swimming for babies will be taught, which will be held in the company of the parents.
On the other hand, children's swimming classes will be taught with groups differentiated by age group from 3 to 4 years, from 5 to 7 years, from 8 to 11 years and from 12 to 15 years.
The program also offers the possibility for children and adults to perform therapeutic swimming, indicated for the treatment of diseases related to the spine, osteoarthritis or with cardiovascular diseases and contractures, among others. The Councilor for Sports, Juan Rubén Burrueco, has stressed that "We have increased the number of swimming pool places with the objective of providing a higher quality service and responding to the great demand of users."
Likewise, aquasalud, aquagym, aquagap, and synchronized swimming courses will be held.
Apart from water activities, the Sports Center completes the offer with a gymnasium and sports school activities, including paddle tennis, tennis, athletics, karate, soccer, volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics and basketball, among others.
The Councilor for Sports stressed that "the Municipal Sports Center has discounts, quarterly and biweekly rates, responding to the needs of users, thus allowing greater savings to citizens."
Pensioners and people with disabilities receive discounts of 50%, while large families benefit from 25%.
On the other hand, unemployed people, university students and young card users enjoy a 10% discount on activities.
