Today the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has hosted the traditional Parade of Chariots that has been celebrated on the occasion of the Fiestas Patronales 2017, in which about twenty floats have encouraged the numerous public with their imagination and spectacular colorful through the streets of Puerto Lumbreras.
The floats, accompanied by comparsas and charangas, have paraded through the streets of the town from the Plaza de la Constitución, passing Calle Mayor, Calle Nuestra Señora del Rosario, rambla de Nogalte, San francisco street, Almería avenue, Orfeón Fernández street Caballero and ending at the midday fair.
The jury, made up of members of various local associations, has awarded the first prize to the carriage "Los chichilones en globo".
The second prize has been for "The temples and their Hindus" and the third prize has been obtained the chariot "The thousand and one roses".
On the other hand, the most original carriage has been "Airline Lumbreras" and the most organized carriage title has been obtained "Cherokees".
In addition, the jury has awarded the most current trophy trophy to "Moschino Fashion Week" and the traditional trophy trophy has been for "The world of unicorns".
In this way, the winners of the first prize have obtained an economic endowment of 2,200 euros, while the second prize have been 1,500 euros and the third prize 900 euros.
The floats that have received the trophy to "the most organized", "most current", "most original" and traditional "carriage" have been awarded a trophy and 150 euros each.
The Queen of the Holidays 2017, Marta Sánchez, has closed the parade in a carriage accompanied by the rest of ladies, as have the children's ladies who have also paraded in their own carriage dressed in the typical costume huertano.
Lastly, it should be noted that the floats have been exposed today from 12:00 to 16:00 so that lumbrerenses and visitors could contemplate them in the hours before the parade.
