The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras is developing improvement actions in more than 20 rural roads in order to repair the deficiencies generated in the asphalt and improve road safety.
In this way, the works are being carried out in different roads of the municipality and districts, in a surface superior to 600 square meters.
Sinking and pothole repair arrangements are being executed on roads such as Los Berengueles or the Del Armao road.
The Councilman of Pedanías, José María Parra, explained that "the repair of the road is necessary because the transit of vehicles had caused some subsidence in certain roads." Extreme temperatures and excessive traffic caused a deterioration in the road that requires constant maintenance. "
The actions are focused on "patching" with sprayed concrete from the roads that are damaged in the hamlet of La Estación-Esparragal and Góñar.
These actions have a budget of more than 4,500 euros, by the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
On the other hand, it should be noted that the Autonomous Community will carry out improvement and conditioning work on several rural roads belonging to the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
In particular, the roads that will be improved soon are Los Abades, Vera and Los Pérez.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras requested the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries the preparation of these roads last year in the Municipal Plenary.
Finally, note that recently the Regional Government has implemented improvement actions in rural roads Higueral Alto and Los Guevaras.
