One of the funniest musicals of which there are multiple adaptations "Mamma Mia" arrives in Puerto Lumbreras.
The work, performed by students and teachers of the Institute of Secondary Education Rambla de Nogalte, has been released with great success this week at the Cultural Center of the town.
The show, under the direction of Camino Martín, teacher of the IES Rambla de Nogalte, has the participation of 25 students and teachers.
According to the director of the event "although the actors are not professionals of the theater they have done a meticulous work adjusting, almost in its totality, to the original musical".
More than 200 attendees were able to enjoy 15 musical numbers based on the famous ABBA song that made an era in the genre decades ago under the dramaturgy of the British Catherine Johnson.
For two hours, students and professors offered a show with their own style in which humor, love, lack of love and friendship were not lacking.
Throughout the musical, which revolves around the story of Donna, well-known songs such as "Money, Money, Money", "Thank you for the music", "Dancing Queen", "Take a chance on me" or the own "Mamma Mia".
The show places the viewer on a small Greek island.
Donna, an independent and single mother, owner of a small hotel on an idyllic Greek island, is about to celebrate the wedding of her only daughter, Sophie, the girl she has raised alone.
On the eve of her wedding, Sophie wants to know the identity of her father so she invites, without notifying her mother, three men who could be the person she is looking for.
The next representation of this story will take place in the month of June.
It should be noted that, over the last few years, there have been numerous musicals that the students have played, together with their teachers, under the direction of Camino Martín.
Among them highlights "My big night," "I'll have fun" or "None of this was a mistake."
