The Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by the Councillor for Health and Older, Gloria Matilde Garcia, visited this morning to citizens who do water aerobics classes during the summer months.
More than 200 lumbrerenses have registered during the month of July to the program that started the session and that includes various water activities such as acuagym, swimming for pregnant women, babies and a therapeutic swimming program.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has launched an aquatics program during the summer of 2010 that includes various swimming courses for people of all ages as well as water aerobics program for the elderly, pregnant and therapeutic swimming.
The Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by the Councillor for Health and Older, Gloria Matilde Garcia has visited the seniors involved in water aerobics, one initiative that includes the aquatics program which have been registered more than 200 citizens.
"Through innovative aquatics program, citizens can enjoy the courses and activities during the months of July and August at the municipal swimming pools in Puerto Lumbreras, without having to go to other coastal locations," said Sanchez.
Specifically, the courses are divided by age, for children 0 to 3 years, 3 to 6 years and 6 to 14 years.
Are also providing advanced training in swimming techniques aimed at adults, and special sessions aimed at older people.
In addition, older people are taught water aerobics to benefit their health through exercise in water mobility.
In this sense, the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, stressed that "the council renewed and expanded each year the supply of water activities to provide alternative entertainment during the summer months, because every year we increase significantly the number of users."
Finally, new in this edition, the City has incorporated therapeutic swimming courses, swimming for pregnant women and babies during the months of July and August.
Puerto Lumbreras has three pools, one for children, other water activities aimed at children between 0 and 6 years, a third larger pool to adults.
