The Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez and general director of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, met to discuss the actions that are taking place in the hamlets and rural areas of Puerto Lumbreras, and to plan the implementation of new initiatives through a rural development program.

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, held a meeting with the director general of Irrigation and Rural Development, Julio Bernal, to promote and plan the actions to develop the City Council and the Regional Government for the development of the districts and areas rural town.
During the meeting, Sanchez and Bernal have analyzed the performances that have launched in recent years the municipality and the regional government in rural development, and have scheduled the completion of some large infrastructure being built in the town .
Among the measures already carried out highlights the arrangement and construction of new roads, refurbishment of roads or installation of public lighting and water sanitation in rural areas.
In this regard, Sanchez pointed out that "both the municipality and the regional government will continue to develop such measures through a rural development program, and it will finalize and operationalize the new public facilities being built in the districts lumbrerenses ".
In addition, Sanchez gave as an example the district of-Esparragal Station, where last year launched a new nursery, expanded the social center, and where he also is building a new Police Service Center, a new education center multifunctional and multipurpose rural center.
"This is one of the major commitments met by the Team, and we continue working with the region. Any person living in the districts will have all services lumbrerenses next to his house and under the same conditions any citizen who lives in the center of Puerto Lumbreras.
Finally, the meeting analyzed Bernal Sánchez and training programs to promote rural development to be offered in the municipality.
In this regard, Sanchez explained that "through the rural development program will extend this offer now comprises more than one hundred courses for farmers and ranchers, and also continue to offer free advice through the municipal offices of the Esparragal ".
