The Ministry of Public Works and Planning will improve accessibility in the main commercial street, an area of interest located in the old part of town.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Planning and Housing, promote removal of barriers in the urban environment of the main commercial street, located in the old Puerto Lumbreras.
The actions requested by the local council falls within the program 'Suppression of architectural barriers and planning' whereby the Department removed the buildings and public spaces any obstacle that limits its use by citizens.
Conditioning, with an investment by the Ministry of € 75,000, will take place in an area of special interest, since there will house the new Museum of Folklore, the House Elves or the Museum of the Guilds .
The performances will include the provision of a series of ramps that will save the existing slopes in the upper area of the town, which houses the old town, and the adequacy of the existing ramps.
Also remove the stairs and installed non-slip flooring.
