The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by Council's Works and Services, Eliseo Sanchez, and Tourism, Ginés David Piñero, and various malls in the area have visited San Francisco Street after renovations have been developed over the past months.
Among the actions that have an investment of over € 200,000, highlights the replacement of over 150 meters of printed chipboard pavement and the paving of the sidewalks.
In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, stressed that "the actions have served to improve tourist facilities and commercial remodeling area of about 2,000 square meters in one of the main streets of the old part of town "
Among the works that have been developed in this second phase of activity has highlighted the construction of 150 meters of new sidewalks, cobblestone pavement and replacement of printed chipboard.
These activities, under the Plan of Urban Commercial in the town have been developed in collaboration with the Directorate General of Trade and Crafts.
On the other hand, the remodeling of the Calle San Francisco and the environment of the Plaza Juan Pablo II has included the installation of new irrigation and drainage networks for rainwater, new low-energy lighting and new signage for traffic.
In addition, actions have resulted in the creation of new green areas, flower beds and trees in the area as well as new street furniture such as benches and bins.
