One hundred citizens of the town of Palencia Astudillo accompanied by the mayor has visited Puerto Lumbreras coinciding with the celebration of fiestas in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary during the month of October.
Thus, the local corporation of Puerto Lumbreras, led by its Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, organized an official ceremony in the House Elves to welcome the citizens of the town of Palencia twinned for more than a decade in Puerto Lumbreras.
During the days spent citizens have visited the most emblematic of Puerto Lumbreras and its Casa Cueva, Nogalte Castle, or the renovated old town and participated in the events planned to coincide with the feast of the Rosary.
Thus, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras appreciated the active participation in the Patron Mayor Astudillo, Luis Santos, who also agreed to "continue working and promoting tourism exchanges between the two towns."
Thus, both locations have reaffirmed their twinning that occurred over a more than a decade after the involvement of two municipalities in the TV Grand Prix.
