Boosts Professional Qualification Program to facilitate the employability of young people who have not completed compulsory education (27/10/2010)

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Local Employment Centre for Youth and Local Development Centre, has launched an Initial Professional Qualification Program (IPPP) in order to enhance social and professional integration of young people who have not followed the compulsory education.

This program specializes in more than a dozen young lumbrerenses in work related to 'Trade' and 'Store', and also allow them to continue their studies in teaching.

Councillor for Employment and Social Policy, M ª Angeles Tunisia, together with the Councillor for Education, Isabel García, inaugurated this morning the program, which, according to Tunisia, "the council aims to promote social inclusion and employment of young people not have obtained the title of Secondary Education. "

Thus, a PCPI is constituted as a formal education in which students acquire skills specific to a Level 1 qualification included in the current structure of the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications.

The program launched in Puerto Lumbreras, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, has a duration equivalent to one academic year, with 600 hours, and train young people to take professional profiles as auxiliary storage and trade.
