The City Council will launch a new employment workshop will favor labor inclusion of more than twenty lumbrerenses (07/11/2010)

The Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, announced that "Puerto Lumbreras organize a new edition of the Employment Workshop which aims to increase employment opportunities and training in 22 people with job placement."

The initiative is launched in collaboration with the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia, which includes workshops will increase public utility services, such as' Polimantenimiento buildings', 'Restoration of degraded areas, " o 'Child Care'.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Employment and Social Policy, in collaboration with the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF), will organize a new Employment Workshop which will promote job placement and training 22 citizens of the town.

Specifically, the initiative is aimed at people over 25 years, labor market issues, and ensure the compatibility of one year employment and training "that will enable them for later incorporation into the labor market."

In this sense, the Mayor has stated that "the members of the Workshop on Employment acquire vocational and job training through the implementation of works and services of public utility and social interest related to new sources of employment."

Specifically, the employment workshop will begin during the month of December and will last one year.

Thus, the 22 students will work in various areas such as improvement and recovery of degraded areas in the Cabezo de la Jara and Castle, or the maintenance of public buildings and schools in the locality.

In addition, support of other tasks related to home care and childcare.

Thus, the initiative includes various workshops as' Polimantenimiento buildings "that include learning activities designed to minor alterations and repairs to buildings, both in painting, plumbing, electricity, or masonry.

Thus, steps will be taken in the four public schools in the Cattle Market, Sports Hall, Youth Hostel and Cultural Center, among others.

For its part, the 'Workshop of Restoration of Degraded Areas "will include various activities such as restoration, reforestation, cleaning and maintenance of natural areas in the locality.

It will intervene in the natural landscape of Cabezo de la Jara, in the youth hostel environment, and the Castle area Nogalte.

"Through the employment workshop, students will be trained in core subjects such as environmental awareness, information and prevention of occupational hazards, and also learn skills related to the masonry, urban sanitation, and child care."

Moreover, "this year will be launched support workshops in subjects such as language, mathematics and language to reinforce their training," concludes Sánchez.
