The offices of the Centro Integral Security and Emergency Puerto Lumbreras will be completed early next year as the building works "moving at a good pace," explained the Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Manuel Campos.

The Center for Integrated Security and Emergency will have an area of 3,400 square meters, distributed in a basement and ground floor to concentrate all the law enforcement and emergency services, which will be built on a plot of over 5,800 square feet next to Parador Nacional de Turismo.
The distribution of facilities and better provision of services and spaces also improve citizen services, which will be quicker and more direct.
The ground floor will house the reception area, staff offices of the security forces, an auditorium, a boardroom and meeting rooms, plus kitchen and dining room, while the basement will house a large shooting area , the historical record, warehouses, car parks and rest spots.
In addition, the safety complex will have a helipad capable of accommodating helicopters Bell 412 or similar model, which normally are used in emergency devices in the region.
Thus, the municipality will complement their participation through the Civil Protection Unit in Infomur plan for extinguishing forest fires in the region of Murcia.
The construction of new infrastructure with a total budget of 2,747,222 euros, funded through a collaboration agreement between the Autonomous Region and the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
The first phase involves an investment of 1.2 billion euros, while the second, funded by the Autonomous Community, will include a grant of 1,547,222 euros.
