The works of adequacy of access and the environment Nogalte Castle entering its final (12/11/2010)

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, next to the Director General of Tourism, Marina García Vidal, and the Government Delegate, Rafael González Tovar, this morning visited the actions that are being developed in the vicinity of Castle Nogalte.

Through the Tourism Promotion Plan Nogalte Medina invested 3.3 million euros for the implementation of about 40 performances in tourism development in the locality.

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by Director General of Tourism, Marina García Vidal, and the Government Delegate, Rafael González Tovar, this morning visited the works that are being developed in the environment and access to Nogalte Castle.

These actions are developed through the Plan to Promote Tourism Product Nogalte Medina "with which they aim to improve the tourist attractions of the town with the rehabilitation of the Castle and the traditional cave houses," as explained by the Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.

Thus, the Promotion Plan of the Tourism Product Nogalte Medina was established as a tourism strategy in which invested 3.3 million euros for the enhancement and creation of new tourist resorts in Puerto Lumbreras.

In particular, various measures are being developed as the upgrading and rehabilitation of the environment Nogalte Castle and its disclosures that are already in the final stages of rehabilitation.

So, this morning visited the works of adaptation of the ancient entrances to the castle traditionally known as the "Cuesta de la Pava."

"With improved access to the Castle endow the new tourist resort with optimal communications will be complemented with new stations, rest areas and viewpoints to make more attractive tourist visits to the area," Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez .

Another access is being adapted are those belonging to the round perimeter of the Castle.

Specifically these activities involve the improvement and enhancement of the landscape to make practicable a route that is based on existing trails, and that in turn encourages contemplation near the Castle. Also at the perimeter are being built round three viewpoints, that of Jacaranda is located to the east, the Palm in the southeast, and south of the Cypress lookout Castle Nogalte.

"With the construction and improvement of access also communicate the historic old town with all cave houses There will be various activities to promote tourism and local cultural themed after its restoration."

Thus, the day culminated with a visit to the cave houses are being rehabilitated to create a cultural tourist route through seven themed areas in the surroundings of the Castle.

The Tourism Promotion Plan Nogalte Medina is developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia, the Regional Employers' Federation of Hotel de Murcia (Hostemur) and Medina Nogalte Tourist Consortium.
