The work of adapting the environment of the Castle of Puerto Lumbreras, in its final (12/11/2010)

The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, and the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, today visited some of the works that are being developed in the vicinity of Castle Nogalte through Revitalization Plan Nogalte Medina Tourism Product, a plan for which the Ministry, the Ministry and the city spent a total of 3.3 million euros.

Thus, the Promotion Plan of the Tourism Product Nogalte Medina was established as a tourism strategy in which invested EUR 3.3 million for enhancement and creation of new tourist resorts in Puerto Lumbreras.

Specifically, they are developing various redevelopment and rehabilitation activities in the environment and at the entrances to Castle Nogalte already in its final phase of rehabilitation.

So, today visited the works of adaptation of the ancient entrances to the castle traditionally known as the "Cuesta de la Pava."

Another access is being adapted are those of the round perimeter of the Castle.

Specifically these activities involve the improvement and enhancement of the landscape to make practicable a route that is based on existing trails, and that in turn encourages contemplation near the Castle.

Also at the perimeter are being built round three viewpoints, that of the Jacaranda is located to the east, the Palm in the southeast and south of the Cypress lookout Castle Nogalte.

The visitors ended day cave houses, which are being rehabilitated to create a cultural tourist route through seven themed areas in the surroundings of the Castle.

The proceedings consist of the adaptation of the tourist areas to form a tourist-cultural itinerary.

The Tourism Promotion Plan Nogalte Medina is developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia, the Regional Employers' Federation of Hotel de Murcia (Hostemur) and Medina Nogalte Tourist Consortium.
