Lumbrerenses Hundreds have gathered over the weekend at La Ermita de Puerto Lumbreras to celebrate the feast in honor of the Child of Naples.
The events planned to mark this festival began on Saturday with the meeting of crews who served in the crews of Velez Blanco, Almendricos, Esparragal and Henares.
After various sports activities and cultural initiatives, this morning held a traditional Mass in honor of the Child of Naples.
According to the Councillor for Education and Culture, Isabel García, "the festivities in honor of the Child of Naples are a long tradition in the town that each year brings together hundreds of people. This new year, the festival program has included more than a dozen of activities distributed throughout the weekend. "
After the Mass, hundreds of lumbrerenses accompanied the image in a procession which also involved the crew of the Hermitage of the Child.
Morning activities continue with a performance of dance schools in the locality, and a show of traditional dancing.
