Puerto Lumbreras women may participate in educational, cultural and entertainment to celebrate the Working Women's Day throughout the month of March.
The Department of Equal Opportunity has organized more than twenty workshops and courses for women lumbrerenses to be taught in the new Centre for Women in the locality.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras has organized a program that includes over 50 activities for women throughout the month of March to coincide with the conclusion of the Working Women's Day on 8 March.
Councillor for Equal Opportunities, Catalina Gázquez, this morning the proposed cultural, recreational and educational at the newly opened Women's Center, along with the presidents of associations of local women.
"Like every year, Puerto Lumbreras celebrates this tribute to the woman with activities and initiatives organized by women for women. Celebrate especially this week in which rights are claimed as equality and respect, which is the essence of this policy council throughout the year, "said the Councillor for Equal Opportunities Gázquez Lina.
The scheduled events will begin on March 7 with a cooking workshop on 'Desserts' and the talk show "Healthy Afternoon' which includes several lectures related to women's health, emotional intelligence, nutrition and psychology.
According Gázquez, "This new program will be held in the new Women's Center of Puerto Lumbreras to publicize the new facilities, and to celebrate with all women lumbrerenses our Working Women's Day."
In addition, on March 7 will be a meeting between Women's Associations and Puerto Lumbreras Totana which will include a cultural tourist route through the town with a tasting of typical dishes of the municipality.
Also, on 9 March, a day of 'Relaxation and Meditation "with yoga techniques, as well as a briefing on the effects of malignant tumors organized by the Cancer Association of Puerto Lumbreras.
March 10 will continue with a program of lectures under the theme "Women are ambassadors' with which they discussed issues of equal opportunities.
Thus, on March 11 will be a workshop on 'Healthy Eating', and various cultural excursions are planned for women, among which are visits to the mines of La Union, to the wineries of Jumilla and Yecla, or fall Canoeing on the River Segura.
As for courses, workshops and seminars, the council's Equal Opportunities offer more than two dozen educational programs, among them a course in photography, and interior decoration, computer science, a workshop on solar prevention 'against cancer skin ', or laughter therapy workshop.
