Puerto Lumbreras presented the program of cultural and tourist activities to be developed in all homes and Castle Cave Nogalte (14/04/2011)

The more than 30 cultural and tourism activities are launched to coincide with scheduled meetings and processions for Holy Week

The town of Puerto Lumbreras released this week Nogalte Santa's Castle and the recently renovated cave houses themed environment with a wide range of tourist and cultural activities.

The Councillor for Tourism and Industry, Ginés David Piñero, and the Councillor for Education, Culture and Celebrations, Isabel García, along with Mary Ascension Perán Adam, representing the council of Puerto Lumbreras Guilds presented this morning at Castle Nogalte, programming starting next weekend in conjunction with the start of the Easter 2011 and run throughout the months of April and May to "encourage tourist visits to the city."

Specifically, among the scheduled activities include open days in the cave houses set themed, guided tours of the Castle and its surroundings Nogalte, camel rides, and demonstrations of local crafts.

There is also provided tea tasting in the caves, or talks about traditions and folklore.

The program also includes music and dance performances in the surroundings of the castle, and tastings of typical products, belly dance and a medieval market in the vicinity of the cave houses.

In this sense, the Councillor for Tourism, Ginés David Piñero, explained that "the conference will be held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the months of April and May, the new tourist area that offers our town, and that appears under the motto "Viewpoint of History '."

Thus, Piñero said that "with this great number of activities, the session aims to promote the sector through new tourism offerings."

On the other hand, the new schedule will be developed in parallel with the events planned to mark Easter in the town.

In this sense, the Councillor for Education, Culture and Celebrations, Isabel García, stressed that "cultural and tourism program in the vicinity of Castle coincide with the planning for Easter, and thus offer our visitors new options."

Thus, the town will host the opening speech on Sunday April 17 with which the traditional processions that begin tour the town and the recently restored Old Town.

Specifically, the main events of Holy Week lumbrerense include:

The celebration of Good Friday Solemn Eucharist and the end of the Triduum in honor of the Blessed.

Our Lady of Sorrows, held at 8:00 p.m. in the Parish Church Mr. del Rosario Nuestra.

On Saturday, April 16 Children's procession takes place to begin your tour at the Parish Church Nuestra Mr. del Rosario at 18.00, followed by the start of the Solemn Triduum to Stmo.

Cristo de la Fe

Palm Sunday begins the day with the collection of banners at 10 am, followed by the Hebrew People's Procession starts the tour at the Constitution Square at 11:00, continuing with a Mass that begins on Palm at 12:00.

After the Holy Mass will be celebrated on Easter Proclamation this year run by Isabel García Martínez, Councillor of Education, Culture, Celebrations.

On Tuesday 19 April, continues the Solemn Triduum in Honor of Stmo.

Cristo de la Fe and Wednesday April 20 is the traditional Besapié to Stmo.

On Holy Thursday, at 18.00 takes place banners collection of the Brotherhood of Stmo.

Friday begins with the Via Crucis from 9.00h through the streets of old town.

Later, at 9 pm will be made the solemn procession of pain and of the Holy Burial, ending the day with the XIII Meeting of Bolts "La Saeta in pain."

On Holy Saturday at 11 pm in the Parish Church Our Lady of the Rosary will be held the solemn Easter Vigil.

Completes the planning for this Easter 2011, with Easter Sunday, which will be held Easter Mass at 9:00 a.m. with a procession following the meeting at 11:00.
