The sessions are part of the program of activities launched in the Consistory lumbrerense Castle Cave Houses Nogalte and themed by promoting tourism in the locality.
The competition has had a total of 20 participants who have opened their doors and facades and balconies exposed to the enjoyment of visitors.
The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Tourism and sponsored by the Confederation of Employers of Puerto Lumbreras ASEPLU, organized the contest I Courtyards, Facades and Balconies 2011 which is part of the programming of activities at the Castle of Cave Houses Nogalte and themed by promoting tourism in the locality.
Thus, this conference has helped to beautify the historic old town that in recent weeks has received over 3000 visitors.
Moreover, this initiative promotes the conservation of a tradition lumbrerenses consistent with plants and flowers decorate the facades, patios and balconies of the houses.
Thus, l Patios Competition, facades and balconies of Puerto Lumbreras 2011 has been held during the first weekend in May to coincide with the flowering season of plants.
Also in the Castle and the Houses Nogalte Cave located in the historic old town, there have been many other activities such as guided tours, open houses, storytelling for children, craft demonstrations, belly dance show or tasting of typical products among others.
Thus, in these early days involved 20 contestants in different categories, who have opened their doors and facades exposed to the enjoyment of many visitors.
Specifically, the winners in different categories have been, José Luis Contreras with the "Prize for the best date" on Calle Barranco No 42, Adriana Martinez with the "Award for Best Patio" in Calle La Pita No 12 and Sylvie Fabregat with the "Award for Best Balcony" on calle Francisco Tirado No 2.
