XXIV National Folklore Festival of Puerto Lumbreras (17/07/2011)

The festival featured performances of local folk group Coros y Danzas Virgen del Rosario and other groups representing the folklore of various regions.

Among the actions that made ​​the groups highlighted jacks, seguidillas, fandangos, partying, La Mancha, Malaga or Murcia.

The town of Puerto Lumbreras last night welcomed the twenty-fourth National Folklore Festival attended by over a thousand people.

The traditional event, which took place at the Cultural Center of the city, featured a performance of folk groups from different Spanish regions that led to the town dances, costumes and sounds rooted Spanish folk traditions.

Thus, at its twenty-fourth edition, the Festival was attended by over a hundred artists from Folk Dance Association of Cadiz "Paca Briceño," Folklore and Cultural Association 'Grupo San Isidro de Ciudad Real and the Chorus and Dance Group Virgin Health Archena (Murcia).

Moreover, since each year the National Folk Festival was the tradition of the town of Puerto Lumbreras with partying, Malaga and Jacks represented by the Chorus and Dance Group of Virgen del Rosario.

CULTURAL REPRESENTATION IN THE FESTIVAL

CHOIRS AND DANCE GROUP VIRGEN DEL ROSARIO Puerto Lumbreras (Murcia)

The current group of Songs and Dances Virgen del Rosario was founded in 1980, and currently make up more than 40 people, including members of the rondalla and dancers.

His work focuses on conservation, rescue and promotion of music, dance and traditional costumes of the town.

The group has participated in festivals lumbrerense National and International Folklore leading to other countries such as Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Turkey, Romania and France.

FOLK GROUP 'LADY OF HEALTH' OF ARCHENA (MURCIA)

Was founded in 1988 by a group of friends who love the ways of the Region of Murcia.

It consists of forty people, rondalla, chorus and ballet, and focus on the most representative dances of the region such as jacks, partying, La Mancha, Malaga, seguidillas pardicas and Murcia, in addition to the Mass Huertano, Singing the Mayos and the Traditional Aguinaldo Murciano.

It has a dance school and a music, attended by children aged four years and has three types of clothing: the suit of the Ricote Valley, the costume work in the Region of Murcia, and the suit Deluxe sequin embroidery and beading.

ASSOCIATION OF CADIZ folk dance "PACA BRICEÑO"

It is as "Folk Dance Association of Cadiz City" in late 1992 with members from other groups of Cadiz capital dances and equally enthusiastic young people linked to the world of folklore at an early age.

CHOIRS AND DANCE GROUP OF CIUDAD REAL

Folk and Cultural Association 'Grupo San Isidro' was established as an entity in 1990, with the desire and interest in promoting research, conservation and dissemination of folklore Castilian-La Mancha, starting with the rescue of all kinds of popular culture and traditional Villa Argamasilla de Calatrava.

It belongs to the FEAF (Spanish Federation of Associations of Folklore) since 1995.

Also the Regional Federation Manchego Castilian folklore groups.

It consists of a school of music and dance composed of 60 people spread across different groups of quarry to ensure continuity of the association.

The older group is composed of 8 couples dance, rondalla and choir.
