The council organizes thematic summer schools through the Municipal Child Care Network during the summer months (28/07/2011)

The initiative "encourages the reconciliation of work and family life during the summer months."

These summer schools are aimed at children 3 to 9 years and developed the Municipal Child Care Network providing over 600 education places in the locality.

The City Council of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Equality of Opportunity, launched during the summer months various thematic summer schools through the Municipal Child Care Network of the town.
