Many women have participated in the rally organized by the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras on the occasion of World Day for Breast Cancer held on Wednesday October 19.

Many people, mostly women, participated this morning in the IV People's March in Puerto Lumbreras, developed on the occasion of International Breast Cancer to be held on Wednesday October 19.
The initiative, organized jointly by the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and the Spanish Association Against Cancer of the town began with a rally in the Plaza of the Constitution, and a popular march that led to the attendees to the church Nuestra Sra . del Rosario, where a Mass was celebrated in honor of those who have or have had the disease.
Among those present at the concentration, were representatives of the government team by the Mayor of the town as well as members of various local associations.
In addition, the ceremony also attended the president of the Spanish Association against Cancer in Puerto Lumbreras, Ana Maria Cerrillo, accompanied by members of the association lumbrerense.
"For the fourth consecutive year the town of Puerto Lumbreras driving this massive concentration that aims to promote measures basic information and advice about the disease and early detection," said the Councillor for Health, Maria Angeles Tunisia.
In addition, Tunisia, who has read at the rally the manifest and the European Code Against Breast Cancer, stressed "the importance of raising public awareness, because every day is detected more than 40 cases of breast cancer in Spain."
After reading the manifesto, members of the AECC, have distributed pink ribbons, which are established as the hallmark of this disease is considered one of the leading causes of death among women.
Therefore, according to Tunisia, "awareness campaigns are very important to call attention to a population that sees this distant disease on their lives. Early diagnosis allows an extension of 10 years living in 90 percent of cases ".
