The workshops organized by the Association for Integral Development 'Campodos' have discussed measures to promote rural development in the municipalities of Murcia, Cartagena, Fuente Alamo, Cieza, and Puerto Lumbreras.
Social partners and associations of the various municipalities have participated in the day that has developed in the Center for Entrepreneurship in Puerto Lumbreras.
The town of Puerto Lumbreras has hosted throughout the day a working day of the project 'New relationships and urban-rural interdependencies: Laboratory of territorial cohesion' involving several municipalities of the Region of Murcia through the Partnership for Development Integral 'Campodos'.
In this community initiative involving several municipalities such as Murcia, Cartagena, Fuente Alamo, Cieza, and Puerto Lumbreras, and is part of the Leader Plus Programme which aims to promote territorial cohesion "to promote rural development."
Thus, throughout the day have been analyzed studies that have addressed the participating municipalities to be analyzed to support territorial cohesion to the development of rural municipalities.
This project promoted by the Association for Integral Development Campodos, aims to establish a new relationship between urban, rural and suburban areas, to promote the social, demographic, environmental and economic development in rural areas.
According to the Councillor for Sustainable Development and European Projects, Salvador Martinez, "The aim of these workshops is to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of rural areas, among all the sectors involved, we can launch certain actions that contribute to the development and enhancement of rural areas ".
