The Secondary School of Puerto Lumbreras "Rambla de Nogalte" has been selected to participate in the MAPLE project.
Specifically, it is a national educational program that is parallel educational activities in schools, foster, encourage and develop actions and actions that shape the growth and education of pupils during compulsory secondary education and high school.
In this sense, the MAPLE project in which the IES Nogalte Rambla is immersed, is to develop attitudes of coexistence, tolerance and promotion of the values ​​the human being has potential, through its relationship with the natural environment and using physical activity as a vehicle to achieve this.
Thus, it is a program of two academic years' duration in which the learners involved, along with faculty, organize, design and implement a series of hiking trails in the wild and in urban areas of high cultural value and social so in a very practical "become competent."
Thus, the organization of activities is very rewarding from the standpoint of education, as students share life experiences while staying at the houses of the companions of the other centers.
Thus, next to Rambla de Nogalte IES, other schools of Spanish territory (Alicante, Jaén and Tenerife) also participate in the project.
Moreover, Puerto Lumbreras, as part of this project has been visited by the Holy Kingdom IES (Jaén), which have made the route Nogalte Medina and the historic environment of the municipality.
