The municipality, through the Department of Education and Social Policy, provides annual scholarships to students from the municipality to fund transportation to different schools.

The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Education and Social Policy, has awarded annual scholarships for school transport.
A score of young students have received scholarships by the Councillor for Education and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Tunisia, in a ceremony held at the Youth Space in the municipality, and which also involved the councilman of Youth and Sports, José Aragón .
In this sense, the Councillor for Education and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Tunisia, explained that "the consistory donates scholarships annually to help young students of the municipality that require commuting to reach their schools."
Thus, the initiative provides students with aid granted scholarships apart from other regional or state level.
Among the young scholars, are vocational students, Official School of Languages, academies, universities, and even students of the conservatory.
