Students who attend college town abroad will receive a new financial assistance from the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.
The formalization of this collaboration agreement, "is to increase the support of the University and Local Government lumbrerenses students who attend university abroad."

The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has signed a collaboration agreement with the University of Murcia to promote the training of students in foreign universities in the municipality.
So, Mayor, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, and the Rector of the University of Murcia, Jose Antonio Cobacho, this morning signed the agreement, in which the municipality will provide new financial aid to college students in the municipality to participate in exchange programs with foreign universities.
The ceremony was also attended by the Vice-Chancellor of Coordination and Communication of the University of Murcia, M ª Ángeles Esteban, and the initiator of the Convention and Vice President for Research and Internationalization of the University of Murcia, Gaspar Ros.
In this sense, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, has announced that "Puerto Lumbreras students who choose to attend college abroad, will receive a new financial assistance from the City, which will complement the assistance existing granting administrations, in order to improve their study abroad. "
Thus, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras provide new financial aid to college students in the municipality to participate in any exchange programs with foreign universities such as Erasmus (Exchange with Europe), ISEP (Exchange with the U.S.) or ILA ( trade with Latin America).
Thus, for the year 2012/2013, the City shall give each student an amount of € 90 per month of stay abroad.
To do this, once known the name of that lumbrerenses students will participate in the exchange, the University of Murcia inform the City Council the number of students in the municipality and the time spent at foreign universities to facilitate the channeling of new aid .
