Puerto Lumbreras held next weekend the XXV edition of National Festival of Folklore (11/07/2012)

The Festival will feature performances of the Choir and Dance Group of Virgen del Rosario, who in his XXV edition will focus on the folklore and traditions.

The event takes place on Saturday 14 July at 22.00 in the indoor enclosure Nogalte Castle and will feature performances of folklore Murcia and Andalusia.

The town of Puerto Lumbreras host on Saturday July 14 edition of the XXV National Folklore Festival that is included in the program Cultural Nogalte.

Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maribel Martinez, along with representatives of the Group of Songs and Dances Virgin of the Rosary, which will be presented the 2012 edition of the festival devoted lumbrerense, which this year will "focus on folklore and traditions" .

"The National Folk Festival each year becomes important, and it has become one of the most important folk performances at regional and national levels. In this edition 2012, coinciding with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Festival, has wanted to pay tribute to the traditions and history of the town folk, "said the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maribel Martinez.

Thus, in his twenty-fifth year, the Festival will feature over 60 artists from the Group of Songs and Dances Virgen del Rosario, which shows the tradition of the town of Puerto Lumbreras Puerto Lumbreras dances and their districts, such as Jack of seven, the Jack of Puerto Lumbreras, Malaga typical municipality, or partying.

In this sense, the event will also have representation of Murcia and Andalusian folklore through dance in the locker room to be displayed typical local and regional, in a total of 16 dances.

The current group of Songs and Dances Virgin of the Rosary was established in 1980, and currently make up more than 60 people, including members of the rondalla and dancers.

His work focuses on the conservation, recovery and distribution of music, dance and traditional costumes of the town.

The group has participated in festivals lumbrerense National and International Folklore leading to other countries like Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Turkey, Romania and France.
