Puerto Lumbreras their companies distinguishes Awards 'Entrepreneur Municipality 2012 " (14/07/2012)

The town of Puerto Lumbreras hosted the ceremony last night of the Business Awards, 'Puerto Lumbreras, Municipality Entrepreneur 2012' held in the town for the eighth year.

In this edition, the Confederation of Employers ASEPLU, and the consistory distinguished the 'Business Life' by Colonel Jose Mateos, and 'Dedication at work' Jose Valverde Ruiz.

Also awarded the 'Premio Trade' to Baby Caprice, and the 'Entrepreneur Award' went to Almazara Station.

Thus, the event was attended by the Mayor of the municipality and the municipal corporation, the director of the Institute of Development in the Region of Murcia, Juan Hernandez, representatives ASEPLU the Confederation of Employers and Chamber of Commerce.

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, said that "the municipality Entrepreneur Awards recognize the dynamism and effort of business projects that contribute to its activity to the development of our municipality."

Also, "these projects are awarded, they turn up as good examples for young entrepreneurs in our town who start their new business career."

Thus, the jury awards the 'Municipality Entrepreneur' is composed of members of the Confederation of Employers Aseplu and the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras.

AWARDS 2012 'ENTREPRENEURIAL CITY'

ENTREPRENEUR AWARD, MILL STATION

The station was founded mill for almost 20 years, and is constituted as a family business dedicated to the grinding of olives and olive oil production, for later sale.

When the campaign ends of the olive oil mill Station Marc works with an oil of inferior quality is sold to refiners or companies that convert it into biodiesel.

In 20 years, the company has managed to become the most olive oil mill grinding of the Region of Murcia, about 10,000 tonnes and 15,000 tonnes of pomace.

Currently, Almazara Station has an R & D being made laboratory tests to extract olive residue hydroxytyrosol and pointing maslinic acid as a future revolution in food and feed to be products that have many polyphenols and powerful antibacterial and antioxidant action.

BUSINESS LIFE AWARD, COLONEL JOSEPH MATEOS

Colonel Jose Mateos was born in Puerto Lumbreras in the year 1938.

He began working with 19 years in France in the agriculture sector, but soon learned the trade of construction.

In 1964 he returned to Spain where he married and returned to France with his wife to get income to later realize his dream of starting your own business construction sector.

First built his house, and sold to get money to set up a small company in the construction sector.

With the passage of time their children joined the family business, and currently leads the company Real Mateos SL, dedicated to building and selling homes.

DEDICATION AWARD AT WORK, JOSEPH RUIZ VALVERDE

Jose Valverde Ruiz was born in 1940, and at age 12 began as an apprentice carpenter as a carpenter in the municipality which stood on Main Street.

In 1958, aged 18, went to Barcelona to work with his uncle Sunday Valverde in a family business dedicated to the manufacture of furniture.

There he enrolled in the School of Arts and Crafts furniture in the branch, until he left for military service in 1962, and then return to Puerto Lumbreras.

Already in Puerto Lumbreras, teamed with his cousin Andres Lopez Ruiz Ruiz creating the company and Valverde dedicated to woodworking and furniture on the street in which Garcia Rubio continued in business for 30 years until the retirement of his cousin.

In the early 90 begins a new stage with her three children by creating the company Furniture Valverde with a new exhibition located at street Orfeón Fernández Caballero and woodwork with new machinery in the street Aledo, there followed his trade until his retirement career in the year 2005.

Currently the business continue their three children, and Jose Valverde continues advising while enjoying his retirement.

PRIZE TRADE, BABY FAD

On 17 March 2003 opens its doors Baby Capricho, led by Elena Romera and Elizabeth Mateos María Elvira Guirao, two enterprising lumbrerenses, which would compliment the dream of establishing their own business.

From the beginning, Baby Caprice was very well received, and over the years were increasing their customers.

After several years of existence, created and expanded the store that offers 260 square meters of exhibition and devoted more exclusively to the baby.

Currently, Baby Caprice continues its activity with a comprehensive statement, which offers mothers-everything for children.
