The initiative, organized by the Department of Education and Social Policy, tells the participating Associations of Parents of the four schools and the local institute
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Education and Social Policy, has launched a solidarity campaign collection of textbooks and school supplies coinciding with the start of the new academic year on 10 September.
In this sense, the Councillor for Education and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Tunisia, explained that "this is an initiative that we want to help families who need it most, reducing the economic cost involved around the school."
Thus, the objective of this campaign is to reuse textbooks and make them available to students who will use them for the new school year.
In addition, the aim is to help families who need it most school supplies avoiding expenses for the new academic year.
Thus, Solidarity Campaign will take place throughout the month of September, and the aid is distributed through social services of the municipality.
Anyone can donate both textbooks as school supplies (pencils, pens, notebooks, backpacks, etc.) that can serve families in need.
To do this, the books can not be delivered over four years old, must be in good condition and can be Kindergarten, Primary or secondary school and vocational training.
Also, books and school supplies can be donated at different venues like the Municipal Library of Puerto Lumbreras, in times of 13.00 and 16.00 to 10.00 6:00 p.m. and in the Library of the station from 16.00 Esparragal has 18.00.
You can also donate books to schools in the town, in time 10.00h to 13.00h.
Finally, from the city of Puerto Lumbreras has launched an awareness campaign through social media, posters and information leaflets, among others, to achieve the highest number of textbooks and school supplies with which to help families in need.
