The Mayor of the town, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, accompanied by the Councillor for Education and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Tunisia, this morning visited schools in the locality in which they have developed throughout the summer improvement actions and already have with cafeteria.
Sanchez explained that "education is established as a priority for the government team. During the last years we have improved and extended our schools."
The town of Puerto Lumbreras normally started the school year this morning at four schools in which 1491 students are enrolled in school and Primary Education, with 142 new members of children who start primary education in this course.
Thus, the local mayor, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, visited all the schools in the municipality in which this summer has been made works of improvement and adaptation.
In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras has explained that "education is established as a priority for the government team. During the last years we have improved and extended our schools, and we have also built the new Sacred Heart Public School benefiting about 500 schools in the city. New this year, the school in Puerto Lumbreras began with school meals in all schools. "
New services
During the opening of the school year, the Mayor of the town took stock "positive" actions that have been developed in all schools, as well as new infrastructure and services that are at the service of the school lumbrerenses.
So, this year, the town of Puerto Lumbreras has school meals in all schools in the municipality which enables students to stay in the center until 16:00 h and allows at the same time, the reconciliation of family life and parental occupation.
Furthermore, Puerto Lumbreras has innovative infrastructure as the new Sacred Heart Public School with more than 3,900 square feet on three floors with capacity for 19 and Primary classrooms that house 502 students
In addition, the township has a new Multifunctional Education Center-The Esparragal Station, which serves to promote educational and teaching activities, and that in turn will serve the CP Immaculate Conception.
The performances have included the construction of eight new educational classrooms with capacity for over 300 students, as well as an auditorium and library.
Also, along with the works of adaptation and improvement for the development of all schools, has also built a school canteen in the Public School Assumption Jordan.
