UNICEF Spain awards the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras by the educational program "Pequecultura" (24/10/2012)

Learning a second language, the use of new technologies, and the application of new educational techniques are the cornerstones on which the City Council has made this educational project "Pequecultura".

The award-winning educational project aimed at Childcare Network Municipal Township, includes numerous measures to facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life of the parents.

The Spain international organization UNICEF (United Nations Fund for Children), together with the Ministry of Health and Social Services and Equality, and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces have been awarded the accolade of Best Practices Contest VI Municipal Programme 2012 Child Friendly Cities Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras to the educational program "Pequecultura" in the category of Right to Education.

Specifically, learning a second language, the use of new technologies, and the application of new educational techniques are the cornerstones on which the City Council has made this great educational project "Pequecultura", which employs more than thirty professionals.
