IU-Greens today has again reiterated the need for the Government to act urgently and pass and a Decree providing for aid and for Puerto Lumbreras damnificaciones.
The paper raises the need for tax relief for those affected by the floods last September 28.
To this political measures should be aimed at achieving the fee waiver of property tax for 2012 affecting homes, workplaces, agricultural buildings and the like, especially urban and rustic nature, given that the bulk damage is more important in the districts, especially Esparragal-station.
It is also necessary to establish reductions in business tax for the year 2012 for business establishments that have been affected, and exemption rates on low traffic of vehicles caused by flooding.
With regard to the repair, replacement and reconstruction which are facing the residents of the municipality and within the competence that corresponds to the Council, is requiring waiver of fees relating to the issuance of building permits for repair of houses, farms and ranches and other property wrecked.
The decrease in revenue that occurs due to implementation of these measures, must be compensated by the State through the State Budget and this requires as has been asking since the day after the flood, the approval of Government extraordinary measures to affected areas.
