Acuamed promote actions to improve safety on boulevards and avenues of Puerto Lumbreras (20/11/2012)

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras has met with the CEO of Acuamed to plan actions and consolidation of security in Puerto Lumbreras ramblas which suffered significant damage after the flood of Sept. 28.

The Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, had a meeting with the CEO of Acuamed, Arcadio Mateo del Puerto, to plan the actions that will take place in the township to improve safety in gullies and channels that were heavily damaged after flood of Sept. 28.

Thus, the State Corporation Mediterranean basin waters, Acuamed under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA), promote repairs, consolidation and security in gullies and channels.

In this sense, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, explained that "the items in the State budget will allow work to improve safety in gullies, and channels ramblizos the municipality".

So, Sanchez has placed special emphasis on "the most important thing is to invest in infrastructure to improve the safety of the area against possible flooding."

To this end, steps will be taken in the avenues and hydraulic ramblizos Puerto Lumbreras, especially in the Rambla de Nogalte that crosses the municipality's urban center.

The projects will be developed through the items earmarked the 2013 General State Prosupuestos to undertake the necessary work in areas affected by floods, and to address projects Nogalte dams, Lebor and Rambla de Bejar.
