Abel Antón has won 5 of the 8 official marathons he has played and is European champion and 10,000 m sprint double world athletics champion of Athens 1997 and Seville 1999 in the marathon.
Anton has joined the XIX Fun Run Season-Esparragal solidarity with the district which suffered extensive damage after the flood of Sept. 28.
The dedicated athlete, Abel Antón has participated this morning in the nineteenth Fun Run Season-Esparragal in which they have gathered nearly 400 athletes in and out of the Region of Murcia.
So, Anton has joined the traditional career in an act of solidarity with the hamlet lumbrerenses suffered significant damage as a result of the floods last September 28.
Specifically, the race was organized by the Sports Association Esparragal in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and has played in more than twenty categories with different routes.
In this sense, Abel Antón has participated in its category that has once again demonstrated its expertise in distance running first 5,000 to 10,000, and later in the marathon.

Thus, the categories of participants were 0-6 years male and female (100 meters), pre youngest male and female (500 meters) and youngest female fry (1,000 meters) female and youngest male child (1,500 meters) , female and juvenile male cadet (2,000 meters), child and male cadet (3,000 meters), junior, junior, senior, promises and female veterans (3,000 meters), male veterans (5,000 meters), junior, junior, senior, male pledges (5,000 meters).
Also, the top three finishers in each category have earned a trophy.
