The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and the Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users 'Peñas Blancas' have signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of developing new consumer protection policies in Puerto Lumbreras.

Furthermore, it will launch new campaigns on responsible consumption and training programs for the population.
Thus, establishing the management of a public service of consumer information and complaint handling and claims including mediation and conciliation through the Municipal Office of Consumer Information that will open for users from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.00 to 14.00, on the first floor of City Hall.
Similarly, today announced that through this agreement will promote educational activities aimed at consumers of the municipality.
Thus, emphasis will be placed in schools, where they develop initiatives that will train more than 2,000 students from Puerto Lumbreras on responsible consumption and consumer protection mechanisms.
In this sense, Sanchez explained that "the City of Puerto Lumbreras and the Consumers 'Association' Peñas Blancas will launch this year a campaign targeted to consumers that will take place through information, courses and seminars that are disseminated consumer rights. "
In addition, the municipality held campaigns in special periods of high consumption as rebates or Christmas, besides committing the celebration of World Consumer Day.
Last year, the Municipal Office of Consumer Information Puerto Lumbreras attended nearly a thousand inquiries, complaints and denunciations.
Furthermore, since the municipality is formed over 1,500 people in responsible drinking habits.
