The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has approved unanimously by the Full Council agreement to provide economic scholarships to young lumbrerenses who study abroad.
So, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, the Councillor for Education and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Tunisia and the Youth Councillor, José Aragón, presented this morning the new initiative that the City provides financial assistance to young registered in the municipality who study abroad.
In this sense, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, explained that "we believe essential to train the current generation of young people to learn languages. This new initiative will learn or improve their English as a second language to young people of our town to through new economic aid. "
In this sense students registered in Puerto Lumbreras will have the option to grant up to 500 euros if they meet the economic requirements for family income and have good performance in the transcript.
In this regard, Sanchez explained that "what we want with these aids is to encourage families of our town can access this type of educational programs to reinforce the language."
So, is offering scholarships students enrolled in language courses abroad in response to economic criteria, transcripts and date of application and enrollment in the programs.
It will also require a partnership between the language schools or schools and the city to be formalized to offer alternatives and courses to young lumbrerenses in later years.
