The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has created this morning the Local Counter Truancy establishing as a new consultative and participation that will analyze, monitor and propose measures to reduce and prevent truancy in the city.
In this sense, the Mayor explained that "we intend that the Local Counter Truancy is established as the channel through which to coordinate and decide actions to reduce truancy, and also allows us to track each case is detected in the municipality in collaboration with agencies and institutions involved. "
Thus, the City currently drives a Program of Prevention, Control and Monitoring Truancy with that since the council provides support and resources for families with special social difficulties for schooling and maintenance of children in schools .
In addition, with the creation of the Local Counter Truancy, the City will work with groups involved in education to plan further concrete steps to prevent or eradicate truancy cases in the town.
Finally, note that the Local Counter Truancy is composed of 21 members representing different sectors.
Thus, the Board is chaired by the Mayor of the town, which also has responsibility for social policy and is comprised of the Councillor for Education.
In addition, part of the Bureau AMPAS representatives of the four colleges of the municipality, a representative of IES AMPA Nogalte Rambla, the directors of the local CEIP, IES director Nogalte Rambla, services Technical Teacher community (PTSC) primary and one of the Institute, a representative of Service Diversity Education counseling, education inspector, the chief of the local police, the municipal social services coordinator a municipal doctor, a technician truancy municipal and social services psychologist.
Tunisia has stressed that "this table will achieve greater and necessary coordination of all stakeholders with expertise in the fight against truancy."
