The regional government allocated 500,000 euros to offer 82 new positions for Child Care in Puerto Lumbreras (19/11/2013)

The regional government made an investment of 499,242 euros to launch the new Center for Child Care (CAI) 'Juan Lopez' in the town of Puerto Lumbreras, which will allow the supply of 82 new positions for Child Care children between four months and three years in that locality.

The Minister of Health and Social Policy, Maria Angeles Palacios opened the CAI 'Juan Lopez' accompanied by the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, who also has the powers to Social Policy, Maria Angeles Tunisia.

Thus, since there are three that are running CAI in Puerto Lumbreras for which the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs has allocated 1,536,034 euros that have allowed providing inhabitants of this town a total of 246 spaces Care Children.

Palacios explained that the 82 new jobs the CAI 'Juan Lopez' are distributed in six classrooms, two of which are for babies, two for children one to two years, and two for children two to three years.

"The purpose of this action is to continue to support families and facilitate their integration into the labor without leaving children unattended," said the minister, adding that "we want to continue to encourage, as we have been doing for years, reconciling work and family life. "

The CAI 'Juan Lopez' is a modern infrastructure that adds to existing resources in the city to promote comprehensive care to children aged between four months and three years.

Child Care in the Region

Since 2003, the Executive Murcia 42,159,582.37 euros has been allocated for performances in different municipalities of the Region posibilitasen creation, expansion or renovation of Centres and Points of Care for Children.

There are currently a total of 110 CAI and PAI, of which 86 are newly built and the rest in the other 24, has carried out some sort of remodeling or providing equipment.

This represents a total of 8,218 beds, of which 6,771 are operational in 92 CAI and PAI.
