Municipal associations and ordinary citizens have contributed to this charity campaign.
Members of the Sports Association of Puerto Lumbreras and volunteers of the NGO Anike of Murcia have traveled to Ethiopia to delivering more than 250 pounds of clothes and medicines to the orphans of Mother Teresa of Calcutta in Addis Ababa ( capital of Ethiopia).
In this regard, the association and the NGO lumbrerense Anike launched last month, in collaboration with the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, a solidarity campaign to collect clothes and medicines for children in the orphanage of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
Thus, citizens, businesses and organizations have contributed to this campaign by donating children's clothing and children's medicines such as ibuprofen or metronidazole.
Also, various sports and cultural associations in the municipality have agreed to collaborate in this joint initiative.
Thus, Peña Motera "Custom Lumbreras" and Tennis Club Puerto Lumbreras also wanted to join this campaign and have donated several lots of school supplies and children's medicines such as ibuprofen to children and metronidazole for the orphanage children.
President of the Sports Association of Puerto Lumbreras, Ginés Pedrero, thanked the participating municipal associations to participate in this charity campaign.
