The City and ADEA-BDA promote new initiatives to promote the development of agriculture and livestock in Puerto Lumbreras (15/04/2014)

The Mayor has signed a collaboration agreement with ADEA-BDA, "new measures to boost training, counseling and individualized support to farmers in the town".

The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and the Regional Association of Agricultural and Livestock Enterprises of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (ADEA-BDA), have signed a cooperation agreement to implement new information services and advice to companies in the agricultural and livestock sector, and "thus contributing to the economic development of the primary sector in the municipality."

The Mayor, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "it is very important that governments and partnerships we support the agricultural and livestock sector to contribute to the development and modernization."

Thus, he noted that "Puerto Lumbreras the agriculture and livestock are established as one of the main drivers of the local economy, and through this new partnership agreement will put in place new concrete actions that promote the development of enterprises of this sector in our town. "

So, the Mayor and the ADEA-BDA PresidentL have formalized the agreement, through which "will launch the service in the town of information, training, support and advice that will be accessible to farmers upon request. To do this, you enable an office in the Municipal Units-Esparragal Station, where new services to farmers in the municipality are provided.

Thus, by this agreement, the local government will implement activities designed to encourage local agriculture, as one axis to stimulate the local economy.

To do this, ADEA-BDA, in collaboration with the City, promote advice on registration and updating of the register of farms and the farm priority request.

Also, through the new service to farmers and ranchers on improvement plans and first installation companies as well as aid from the Common Agricultural Policy, or aid tax rebate on agricultural diesel will be informed and will advise type technical companies upon request.

M ª Ángeles Tunisia has highlighted the importance of the collaboration, as the agricultural and livestock sector is in the labor force 55.6%, becoming one of the main drivers of the local economy.
