The Library Network programming culminated Book Month with the appointment of the readers of the year in the children, youth and adult categories.
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Culture, has organized various activities that encourage reading throughout the month of April.
The town of Puerto Lumbreras programming culminated Book Month with the appointment of the readers of the year.
To do this, through the Library Network have been awarded to users who have requested more loan books during 2013. Example, in the junior category the winners were Nadia Fernández and Nerea Cotes, while in the youth category was Fátima García Rodríguez, and adults Barnes Salvador Lopez.
The winners were premiaos with a lot of books that have been donated by the municipality Bookseller Nova, Stripes and Papyrus.
So, with this initiative, the municipality has completed the Book Month which included more than a dozen cultural and educational initiatives to promote reading.
Among the initiatives that have been organized throughout the month have highlighted school competitions, storytelling, book club meetings and presentations of books and stories.
In this sense, the Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maribel Martinez, explained that "the organization of such activities is essential these days, as they help to promote the habit of reading from an early age."
The program has been designed by the City of Puerto Lumbreras through the library network and collaborated Nova Stationery, Striped Bookseller, Stationery Papyrus and La Caixa.
