The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Health has launched a campaign and pest control throughout the sewer system of the municipality and its districts.

The Councillor for Health, Catherine Gázquez, explained that "the objective is to reduce the presence in the entire municipality of organisms, mainly cockroaches and rodents, which are a potential source of disease."
Thus, a team of technicians has performed in each of the records of the town center and sewer districts, which have introduced powerful rodenticides for rodents and cockroaches to insecticides.
Fumigation campaign in public schools
The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras, through the Department of Health, has also applied disinfestation treatments in four public schools in the municipality coinciding with the Easter holidays.
