Puerto Lumbreras continues to reduce the unemployment rate for a consecutive year and now stands at 11.75% (11/06/2014)

The town of Puerto Lumbreras continues to record declines in the unemployment rate and during the month of May continued to fall to 11.75%, to 15 points below the national average of unemployment.

Thus, the town has maintained strong trend during 2014, consecutively reducing the unemployment rate for each month.

Thus, according to the latest data from the Regional Observatory of Employment and Training Service, the town declined in May the unemployment rate to 11.75%, to 15 points below the national average of unemployment is in the 26, 03% according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).

In this sense, the mayor of Puerto Lumbreras, M ª Ángeles Tunisia, explained that "despite declines in the unemployment rate, the City Council continue to work on concrete measures and actions that favor job creation."

INNOVATION CENTER, TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT COMPANIES (CIFE2)

Among the measures that have been put in place, the City moved all employment services and training facilities of the Center for Entrepreneurship, the creation of a Centre for Innovation, Training, Employment and Business (CIFE2) where services are rendered as job counseling, job placement, or the Local Education Plan that includes more than a hundred training programs annually.

So, the Mayor of Puerto Lumbreras has explained that "the centralization of services, citizens can choose in the same facilities to all programs of employment, business and training, yet are available to associations and confederations serving in the center such as the Chamber of Commerce, AJE Guadalentin, the Confederation of Employers ASEPLU or AMUSAL, among others. "

Finally, the Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras adopted its 2014 municipal budgets with expanding economic resources allocated to the implementation of measures to promote employment.
