The Municipality of Puerto Lumbreras has launched an information campaign throughout the week that was framed on World Diabetes Day.
Through the Department of Health, the council has installed an information tent where hundreds of lumbrerenses were made free glucose control throughout the morning, which was also attended by the mayor of the municipality, Mª Angeles Tunisia .
The Councillor for Health, Lina Gázquez, stressed that "these campaigns serve to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle acquired to prevent future disease. Thus, the council maintains its continued support for the promoting free diabetes glucose monitoring and informing the public about their treatment and prevention. "
So many lumbrerenses have participated in the campaign carried glucose control in the information booth installed at the weekly market.
The campaign also included professional advice on nutrition and healthy habits.
